Abstract: |
During the course of the evaluation there were no traces of the Rochester-Hastings Roman road, as shown on the ordnance survey map as running through the centre of Trench 2. There was also a notable absence of any residual Roman artefacts from all of the trenches. An alternative route for the Canterbury road was suggested as passing north of Hemsted.[Au(abr)] |
