Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for the construction of a swimming pool, which was built within a moated enclosure. The present house at the site was thought to have dated from the 16th century. During the watching brief, a recently backfilled boundary ditch which corresponded to a field boundary on an 1890s map was observed, but no evidence of structures associated with the moated enclosure was found.
