Abstract: |
An archaeological field evaluation was carried out in advance of the construction of two dwellings. The site straddled the extrapolated line of Grim's Bank, a landscape monument of probable late prehistoric date, which was still extant on the property to the north-east of The Colt House. Evidence for an earth bank, with an associated ditch was revealed during the work. Both, howeve, had suffered the ravages of the construction of The Colt House and the subsequent landscaping of the gardens. [Au(adp)] |
