Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was undertaken along the route of the proposed pipeline. A number of anomalies of potential interest were found within the easement of the proposed pipeline. The majority of these comprised weak linear trenches and isolated pit anomalies. A possible enclosure and suggestions of ancient land divisions had been recorded in Area A, while similar activity and two possible burnt features had been recorded in Area B. However, the results suggested that major settlement remains appeared to be present within the geophysical study areas. [Au] |
