The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Evaluation of the wall was undertaken to establish the quality of the existing footing. Neither trench showed signs of a construction trench for the wall, and soils appeared to have built up against the footing. The construction of the footing was typical of a Victorian gardening technique within this formal garden area. The base layer of rubble was likely to have dated to between the mid/late 16th century and the formation of the gardens in the 19th century. [Au(abr)]
