Abstract: |
The assessment of the site found that the boundary of a 13th century friary to the north west of the site crossed the site. After the dissolution the friary formed part of a post-medieval house, with gardens spreading onto the site. These were parcelled off into smaller gardens in the early 19th century; until the late 19th century the site was used for storage for the nearby gas works. [Au(abr)] |
