Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out in response to proposals for a large mixed development. Soil features believed to be evidence of an up-cast bank from the Car Dyke as well as a large water-management feature were recorded, potentially linked to the Roman Car Dyke Canal. Three Roman ditches were noted elsewhere on the site, and were associated with the enclosure system nearby, excavated in 1997. [Au(adp)] |
