Abstract: |
The earliest recorded feature on the site was an apparent boundary ditch between 7 East Street and Magdalane Lane. Finds recovered from the feature indicated an early medieval date. A cess pit was recorded, the presence of which at the junction of two roads, may have been indicative of a public rather than private facility. Two footings probably formed part of the remains of a post-medieval building. [Au(adp)] |
