Abstract:
A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for a building extension. The site lay in the historic core of the village, close to the Church of All Saints, dating to the 13th century. The watching brief revealed limited modern and post-medieval activity, overlying a phase of undated, apparently natural deposition. Finds retrieved included three sherds of post-medieval pottery and two pieces of modern glass. One piece of pressed asbestos was also recovered, although this was discarded after. [Au(adp)]
