Abstract: |
An evaluation, consisting of documentary research and the excavation of six trial trenches was undertaken across land covering the rear parts of a number of medieval tenements within the town. Medieval activity, from the 13th century, was in the form of two pits, together with a number of post-medieval boundaries was encountered. The paucity of medieval features and material suggested that there was relatively little activity taking place this far from the main frontage. [Au(adp)] |
