Abstract:		 An archaeological survey was undertaken to identify and record all sites and monuments of historic and archaeological interest within an area to be included in a farm scheme. A comprehensive search of available photographic and documentary records was made, followed by extensive fieldwalking by the author. A total of 240 sites were generated. Most are post-medieval and relate to the dense settlement, farming and mining activities within the valley. [Au(abr)]
