Abstract: |
The archaeological and historical background of 19 sites across North Yorkshire, for the combined sewer outflow programme was assessed. At one of the schemes, Skipton STW, Snaygill, there were no recorded archaeological or historic sites within 500m of the proposed works. 15 of the schemes had a low potential (Brook street, Skipton, Carleton West, Borrage Bridge, Ripon, South Crescent, Ripon, Skelton, South Stainley, Cross Hills, Cowling, North Deighton and Little Ribston) and three of the schemes had a moderate to high potential for additional archaeological remains to be present, (Bondgate Green, Ripon, Newbridge, Ripon and Bishop Monkton).
