As the first stage of a large, ongoing project an archaeological buildings survey and a survey of associated earthworks was carried out on Bradley Hall, Weardale. The report also contained historical notes and a discussion of the house in the context of contemporary sites in the North-East. The structure of the house was divided into its component phases.
