Abstract: |
Two 15 metre trenches were excavated on the site of the allotments at Barnsfield Place. The topsoil and subsoil lay immediately above the natural gravels and contained modern brick and tile fragments. A residual burnt flint and a sherd of prehistoric pottery were found. No evidence of in situ archaeological remains were recorded. [Au] |
