The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 No remains have been identified within the proposed development area for any period prior to the Norman Conquest. Furthermore, the evidence from the wider study area was virtually non-existent for the prehistoric and Roman periods, suggesting that there was a low likelihood that the development would affect any undiscovered remains from these periods. Saxon settlement in the area was attested by place-name and documentary evidence. This meant there was moderate potential for the discovery of previously undetected (and possibly quite significant) Saxon remains within the proposed development area. A possible medieval moat was recorded at Brook Farm itself. [Au(adp)]
