Abstract: |
The investigation on the site was undertaken after the landowner reported having encountered a 'wall' during previous construction work. The archaeological investigations revealed that the wall was indeed present on the site but was too shallow to be associated with Hadrian's wall. The excavations also revealed evidence of 18th century quarrying and Victorian activity on the site. [AIP] |
