Abstract: |
A site forming part of the former Glaxo Wellcome Laboratories was proposed for residential and school redevelopment. The site was not located in a Priority Archaeological Area as defined by the Local Planning Authority. The assessment determined that the study site had in fact a low archaeological potential for all past periods of human activity. Generally post depositional impacts on the archaeological resource were likely to have been very severe. Across the site, the extent of past post depositional impacts were such that the proposed development would not have any archaeological impact. On the basis of all available information the report did not recommend the implementation of any further archaeological mitigation measures. [Au(abr)] |
