Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief was maintained during the removal of topsoil from a strip of land adjacent to the River Meden, near to Church Warsop, for the provision of a buffer zone of wetland. Artefacts of prehistoric, Roman, medieval and post-medieval date were recovered, and the remains of a post-medieval pack-horse track and features associated with a system of post-medieval water-meadows were identified. Environmental samples were taken, but little datable organic material had survived. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
