Abstract:		 The excavation undertaken revealed that the site of the proposed development had had considerable modern activity. The activity may have removed any earlier deposits. As there was no evidence for any residual material in the deposits sampled, it was more likely that this area was never used for intensive settlement and was either agricultural or open land for most of its history.
