Abstract: |
An earthworks survey was undertaken as part of the Norfolk Earthworks Survey project (NES). Many of the earthworks surrounding the hall and church corresponded to roadways and enclosures depicted on a map of 1632, providing a glimpse of the pre-park landscape including some remnants of strip fields. The medieval moated manorial site in the south-west of the park had some surrounding enclosures still partially preserved as earthworks. [Au(adp)] |
