Abstract: |
Two trenches revealed extensive modern disturbance in the form of service trenches, manholes and large rectangular pits, which frequently cut into the natural horizon. A small number of sub-oval pits and a partially brick-lined pit were found to contain 18th century debris. A further small pit was found to contain a single struck flint and a small quantity of animal bone. These were all judged to be post-medieval garden/backyard features. The flint was probably residual. [Au] |
