Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundations for an extension, at a site which lay within the medieval village of Tredington. A church dating from c.1000 AD lay 80m from the site, and a mill lay 20m to the south. During the watching brief, post-medieval finds were recovered from an area of dark soil, which had probably been used to build up the height of the garden, but no significant archaeological features or artefacts were observed.
