Abstract: |
The evaluation established that there was evidence of previous human activity on the site. Evidence indicated extensive redevelopment of the site in the early 19th century for the Feathers Hotel and the consequent widespread disturbance or destruction of earlier archaeological deposits. New evidence emerged confirming that by the 16th century the site was, at least in part, subdivided into a series of classic narrow urban tenements and buildings. [Au(abr)] |
