Abstract: |
The evaluation was undertaken on various sites along the route of the proposed New Addington branch line of the Croydon Tramlink. Archaeological remains were found at: the eastern end of the site at Lodge Lane contained survivng medieval earthworks and possible prehistoric deposits; at Geoffery Harris House, where the foundations of a 16th century building were exposed; and an area of Lloyd Park in which Roman metal-working remains were found.
