Abstract: |
An assessment in response to a proposed development at the site was undertaken. The study area was found to have a moderate potential for the discovery of Iron Age to medieval remains with little chance of encountering remains from any other periods. The development was to be located within the footprint of the former brewery and Potters Carpets buildings, the construction of which were thought to have severely impacted upon the archaeology of the site.
