Abstract: |
A total of five trenches were excavated across the site. No archaeological horizons or cut features were identified in any of the trenches nor were any artefacts or ecofacts recovered. On the south of the site these results were explainable by massive truncation associated with the construction of a modern Senior Citizen's Centre. On the north of the site, however, these results could only be explainable by either an absence of activity by early population groups, or by activities occurring which were undetectable in the archaeological record (ie the use of the land as pasture).
