Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, the site was located to the west of Wimbledon Village and some 300m to the east of Caesar's Camp, a scheduled Late Bronze/Early Iron Age hill-fort. Three evaluation trenches revealed no particularly significant archaeological finds, although one trench did produce evidence of two possible prehistoric features; in association with these there were also a number of pieces of struck and burnt flint.
