Abstract: |
The survey recovered an assemblage of struck flint and, although there were no diagnostic pieces, the material was likely to have dated from the Later Neolithic or Bronze Age. There was a notable absence of material from the Roman period. A collection of medieval and post-medieval material was retrieved including numerous pieces of metalwork. It was suggested that this material might have been the result of manuring and not necessarily indicative of settlement actually within the immediate environs of the survey area. [Au] |
