Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out in advance of a proposed residential development. Ditches encountered in Trenches 1 and 2 appeared to be a continuation of a series of enclosures located to the south and south-west of the proposed development area, forming part of a rural settlement of probable Iron Age date and marking the outline of small fields. A smaller feature with post holes was thought to be a contemporary sub-enclosure or pit. There was considerable overburden at the site and no evidence of later activity. [Au(adp)] |
