Abstract: |
The evaluation, consisting of the excavation of two trial trenches, was undertaken. Although desk-based research had suggested that the site had held a reasonable potential for the discovery of features and finds from the Romano-British and medieval periods, the trial trenching exposed only post-medieval and modern features, suggesting that the site had been little disturbed before the early 19th century.
