Abstract: |
Sample trenches were excavated within an area where documentary evidence had suggested settlment in the 11th century, cirucmstantial evidence pointed to a possible medieval manorial site. The excavations revealed very few deposits of archaeological interest. One pit was partially excavated but the lack of datable finds from the features meant that its origin could not be established.
