Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundations and a utility trench for two houses and a garage, at a site which was thought to have potential for medieval and post-medieval settlement remains. A 17th century house had lain adjacent to the line of the utility trench. During the watching brief, a shallow pit and a possible ditch, both undated, were identified. No artefacts were observed.
