Abstract: |
An evaluation of the Sheep Market Car Park which had been proposed for redevelopment produced no evidence for undisturbed archaeological deposits earlier than post-medieval or modern. A single sherd of reisdual 12th-14th century pottery was recovered and 17th-20th century artefacts and activity recorded probably related to former buildings on the site, including those demolished this century, and recorded on cartographic sources.
