Abstract:
The archaeological watching brief outside and inside the Artillery Store failed to yield military artefacts from the time of the fort (1795-1817). Given the presence of post-medieval pottery and a 1920s milk bottle, it appeared that the archaeological strata had been contaminated during modern disturbances of the ground. [Au(abr)]
