Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of groundworks for an indoor swimming pool and cafe. The site lay close to the site known as Beckett's Barn, which comprised the standing remains of a medieval rectory, which overlay buried remains of Iron Age, Roman and Saxon occupation. Despite the archaeological potential of the site nothing of interest was recovered. [AIP] |
