Abstract: |
The negative results of the groundwork observations on the site confirmed earlier cartographic evidence for the use of the fields as pasture up until the Second World War, when a naval store depot was built on the site of the present school and college. The removal of the strucural elements of the leat channel and sluices and subsequent ploughing left only slight surface depressions to indicate the presence of former features.[Au(abr)] |
