Abstract: |
Only two cut features were observed. A pit close to the road contained occasional residual sherds of medieval pottery, but late post-medieval ceramics date the feature. Another similar pit to the rear of the stripped area proved to be a medieval rubbish pit. A moderate quantity of medieval coarsewares were recovered, including rim sherds from a jar and a bowl. A 12/13th century date for the feature was suggested. [Au(abr)] |
