Abstract: |
During the evaluation three trial trenches were excavated. It was known that a number of pottery kilns exist in the vicinity of the site, although no features of archaeological interedt were recorded here. A significant quantity of Verwood type pottery was recovered though and it is possible that either these wasters come from a known kiln to the north, an as yet unknown kiln nearby, or that the quantity is not significant in a pottery producing area.
