Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment, building appraisal and evaluation trench exercise was undertaken on the site of a proposed conversion of a hall, stables and the erection of new dwellings. The assessment identified that the house and stables were erected in 1804 and that archaeology was present in the area, including a possible Roman cremation cemetery. The recording uncovered original features in the house and stables. The trial trenches identified no archaeology. [Au(abr)] |
