Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out at a development site, which lay within the core of a medieval settlement. Large numbers of unstratified medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds were recovered. Of the very few archaeological features observed, some may possibly have represented house or road surfaces of medieval date, but this could not be substantiated by stratified dating evidence.
