Abstract: |
<summary>Evaluation on the motte and bailey prior to construction of a bungalow involved targeted trenching. Some of the motte was shown to be a natural knoll of limestone, explaining the site's location. Deposits in the bailey seemed to have been heavily disturbed by cultivation in the 1940s, but up to 0.15 metres of deposits and features survived on top of the motte itself. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
