Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping prior to gravel extraction. Remains recorded at an adjacent site included Mesolithic flints, a Neolithic hearth, a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age ditch and at least eleven cremations associated with Bronze Age ring ditches. A probable Iron Age enclosure had also been excavated nearby. During the watching brief, modern pottery and several sherds of residual Late Bronze Age pottery were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
