Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in order to fulfil a condition upon planning permission for the construction of a new house across the site which was located on the southwest edge of the known Roman settlement. A previous evaluation had located pits, ditches and hollows and concluded that the site lay within the settlement. The low density of activity recorded in the watching brief suggested that it may have been close to its edge. [Au(adp)] |
