Abstract: |
<summary>The investigations at Cripplegate House confirmed that there had been severe truncation of the archaeological strata in that area of the City. However, observations were made that shed light on the hitherto unknown nature of Roman land use in the area. No major masonry remains of the Medieval period were located, but their erstwhile presence was demonstrated by observations of rubbish pits. These would have been situated in the backyards of houses that fronted onto medieval Golden Lane. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
