Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a trench for a lift. A brick wall of 18th century or earlier date and a sandstone foundation were recorded, and features of unknown date and function, which had been cut into the natural sand, were noted. No artefacts were retrieved. The wall may have marked the frontage of a property on the north-east side of Cherry Street. [AIP] |
