Abstract:
The study site can be show to have a low potential for all past periods of human activity except the late post-medieval/early modern period for which it has a very limited archaeological potential. Past post-depositional impacts on the study site could be characterised as a very severe and very widespread. It was likely that any archaeological deposits predating c.1750 would have been largely removed by subsequent brickearth extraction. [Au(adp)]
