Abstract: |
<summary>Excavation in advance of a new building in the school playing fields revealed a number of archaeological features. A large number of pits, post holes and stake holes were found; pottery and flint tools dated this activity to the Early Iron Age, {italon}circa{italoff} 600-300 BC. Above this a ditch was found with associated agricultural activity dated to the Medieval period. By the Post-Medieval period the whole area was ploughed over. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLSMR062215 - 062218 |
