Abstract: |
The report deals with the monitoring of two test pits which were excavated in advance of a proposed new water main. The archaeological remains which were revealed were of a road surface which predated the modern road which overlay it. Although it was strictly undated, the post-medieval pottery and clay pipe stems suggested that it may have its origins in the post-medieval period. [AIP] |
