Abstract: |
Archaeological deposits survived immediately below the existing basement slab. These comprised 0.65m of Roman deposits over natural brick-earth. Some of the layers related to the construction of the Roman city wall and the bank that lay immediately inside it. The character of the deposits is not such as to require preservation in situ but can be preserved by record through an archaeological excavation and watching brief. [Au(abr)] |
