Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on excavations for the rehabilitation of the water main. Much of the groundworks were undertook on the original waterpipe route, so little archaeology was encountered. Three wall sections, incorporating medieval and post-medieval stonework were observed. A single fragment of medieval pottery and a quantity of post-medieval pottery, tile and shell were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
